Our purpose to help adult Australians lead happier and healthier lives by drinking in a responsible and sustainable way carries specific responsibilities when operating our liquor stores in the community. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our team and our customers and aim to always promote the responsible sale and consumption of alcohol.
We take our liquor retailing obligations seriously and are committed to harm minimisation initiatives to reduce the misuse and abuse of alcohol in the community. We go beyond our legal obligations and are proud of our strong and pro-active approach to the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
We have extensive training programmes making sure we serve the community responsibly and every single team member must hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification before they commence work for us. Key elements of the training includes:
- We ask for ID if a customer looks 25 years of age or younger.
- We refuse service to customers showing signs of intoxication.
- We aim to eliminate the risks or confusion associated with supplying alcohol to young adults.
- We ensure a first home delivery is attended and have our delivery staff ask for ID and check for signs of intoxication.
